The Tour of Britain returns to Builth Wells

Mid Wales is due to host a stage finish of one of the UK's iconic cycle races. The Tour of Britain, the biggest cycle race in the country, will see cycling’s elite return to the county on Wednesday 7 September one of this year’s key sporting spectacles.

Powys will host a dramatic climax to Stage Four of the race when riders sprint to the stage finish. This year the sprint finish will be held at the Royal Welsh Showground at Llanelwedd, near Builth Wells.

Stage Four is expected to be the longest stage totalling 217 kilometers,  Denbigh in north Wales. The route is expected to continue through Llangadfan, the Dyfi Valley, Llanbrynmair, Llanidloes, Rhayader, Newbridge-on-Wye and then into the showground.
